I Would Like To Hire An Item For A Longer Period Than Offered. Is This Possible?

For events like destination weddings and honeymoons that require an extended hire period, please reach out to us at eventsmackay@gmail.com, and we'll arrange it for you.

How Do I Know If An Item Is Available?

Availability is shown for each product through a live booking calendar. To check availability, click on the box under 'Delivery Date' on the product page to open the calendar and select your desired dates.

Can I Try The Dresses on?

Yes. We are located in Glenella 4740. Please schedule a time to try on via our live chat.

Do I Need To Clean It Before Returning?

No, we take care of the dry cleaning for you. Simply drop off to our local address or place the item into the provided express satchel and drop it at your local Australia Post office for scanning before 5pm on the final day of your hire. 

Do not attempt to clean the item or you might cause further damage and subsequent damage fees.

What Happens If The Item Doesn't Fit Or Suit Me?

Garments hired online are at your own risk should they not fit or change of mind. No refunds, credit notes or replacements will be given unless the item received does not match your order. We suggest trying the item on or looking at the sizing and fit notes for any additional information, as well as examining the designer’s online size guide.

What Happens If The Item Is Too Long?

Alterations are strictly prohibited, including temporary pinning, and excessive staining or damage will result in further charges. If a dress falls below your feet, it is your responsibility to make sure that the dress does not get damaged during your hire.

What Happens If The Item Arrives Crinkled?

We take great care when packing your orders, however some fabrics are naturally more prone to creasing than others. If you happen to receive a dress with some creasing, it is recommended to hang the garment in a steamy bathroom as this will naturally remove them. Please do not iron or steam the garment unless you have received permission from us. We do not wish to refund the hire solely due to creasing of the garment, it is within our right to refuse to do so.

What Happens If I Damage The Item?

We understand that accidents happen. If you damage the dress in any way, please contact us immediately. Should the dress be damaged or extremely dirty, there may be alterations or an extra dry cleaning charge. If the dress is not repairable, you will be charged the full retail price of the dress, on top of your original hire costs, and the item will be sent back to you to keep (postage cost additional unless otherwise agreed upon).

What If I Need To Cancel My Order?

If you wish to cancel your order, you must provide a minimum of 14 days notice to the hire start date to receive a full refund lesser 5% processing fee. If your request to cancel falls inside the 14 days, you must liaise to us directly to have the cancellation and refund approved, lesser a 5% processing fee. It is within our rights to decline your refund request if it falls inside the 14 days.

What do I do if I receive a notification that the Dress Is No Longer Available. What Can I Do?

While this is uncommon, circumstances can arise where we are unable to honour a hire booking at late notice, such as due to a late return or damage from a previous borrower. In this situation we will contact you so that we can help you source a back up dress or full refund.

Can I Hire A Dress If I Am Under 18?

If you are under 18 years old, you will need a parent or guardian to hire on your behalf, and all liability for damage or late return will be accepted by them.

Are You Interested In Buying My Second Hand Item?

One Wardrobe doesn't purchase second hand garments from the public, even if they're brand new with tags. Instead, we suggest becoming a lender and listing your item.

Where Do You Ship To?

All items are available to be shipped Australia-wide - express post $30. We do not currently allow international orders.

How Long Does Delivery Take?

All orders are sent via Express Post. Postage currently takes between 1-4 business days depending on your location. While we endeavour to have your item to you in time for your event, always be sure to confirm the exact date and time you require the item by.

I Live In A Rural Area. Should I Let The Lender Know?

Yes, be sure to let the lender know as soon as possible so they can allow for extra delivery time.

Can I Pick Up My Order?

Local pick up is available. For urgent collections, please contact before placing your order.

RETURNS

On the final day of your hire period, place the item in the express satchel provided and return it to a post office before 5pm for scanning or you may be eligible for late fees. For shipped orders, you should always have the parcel scanned at the counter as proof you’ve posted the item back as instructured. If you need to put the item into the yellow express post box, please request permission from us and take a video for proof of lodgement.

What Happens If I Return The Dress Late?

If the item is not returned before 5pm on the final day of your hire, you will be liable to pay late fees. Late fees are calculated daily, pro-rata to your hire fee, up to 120% of the original RRP of the item. For example, if you’ve booked a 4-day hire and the hire fee was $100, late fees would be charged at $25 for each day late.

What Happens If My Dress Doesn't Arrive On Time?

We strive to deliver your item on time. However, if it doesn't arrive in time for your event, you'll receive a full refund. Please ensure the item is returned unworn by the following business day to avoid forfeiture of your refund.

What Do I Do If I've Lost My Return Satchel?

If you've misplaced your return satchel, please contact us immediately. It is your responsibility to send your order back via Express Post by the due date and this will be at your own expense. Please make sure to confirm their postal address and share the new tracking number.

What If My Hire Ends On A Sunday Or Public Holiday?

You must return the item to your local Australia Post post office for scanning before 12pm the following business day. No late fees will apply in this instance.
