GENERAL FAQS

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DIY BALLOON GARLAND KITS?

Our range of DIY balloon garland kits include everything you need to create your balloon garland – all balloons, decorating strip to hold it together, dual action pump to inflate and simple step by step instructions. The Pop-Up Party Co DIY balloon garland kits are fully inclusive with no hidden extras required!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD MY GARLAND?

It will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours to build a 3.5m garland. This process will be quicker if you have someone to help inflate and tie the balloons.

IS HELIUM REQUIRED?

No helium is required for the construction of the balloon garlands. They are air-filled using the pump included in your kit.

ARE THE BALLOONS MADE OF PLASTIC?

No. AtnGiftEmporium sources high quality balloons made of 100% natural rubber latex. They are fully biodegradable. Read more information about our environmental responsibility.

HOW LONG BEFORE MY PARTY CAN I INFLATE MY GARLAND?

As the balloons for your garland are air-filled they will last for days, even weeks. They are, of course, at their best for the first couple of days. It is perfectly fine to construct your garland a day or two before your event. Just keep it indoors (in a cool, dark place if possible) prior to the day of your party.

WHAT SIZE ARE THE GARLANDS PICTURED ON YOUR WEBSITE?

All garlands pictured on the website are regular (3.5m) size.

ARE SMALLER SIZE GARLANDS AVAILABLE?

Yes they are. Smaller size garlands can be purchased under our Custom Orders section.

WHAT ARE DOUBLE-STUFFED BALLOONS?

Double-stuffed balloons are two balloons layered together to achieve unique colours and an opaque look. They are commonly used by event stylists and industry professionals in large balloon displays. Some of our DIY balloon garland kits contain some double-stuffed balloons.

HOW DO I INFLATE DOUBLE-STUFFED BALLOONS?

They can be inflated the same way as regular balloons, using the pump provided in your kit. They can be a little trickier to tie but this can be achieved easier by stretching the neck of the balloon prior to tying.

HOW DO I INFLATE ORBS/BALLOON BALLS?

Orbs/balloon balls can also be inflated using the hand pump included in your kit. Insert the pump into the tab and inflate the balloon slowly. Continue inflating slowly until a perfectly round shape is achieved. If you can still see wrinkles/seams in your ball is it not fully inflated so continue slowly until all seams are smoothed out.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

BALLOONS AND THE ENVIRONMENT – OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Addicted to Nature Gift Emporium is a proud member of PEBA (Pro Environment Balloon Alliance). PEBA was formed in Australia in 2017 and is committed to driving proactive, environmentally responsible change within the industry.

Key facts about balloons and the environment are listed below:

  • LATEX BALLOONS ARE NOT PLASTIC
Latex balloons are a plant-based product made of natural rubber and are 100% biodegradable. We are proud to use only the highest grade of latex balloons in our balloon garland kits. Latex is harvested by tapping the rubber tree in a way that does not harm the tree. After the tree no longer produces latex, it is harvested and its wood is turned into lumber. Each year mature trees are tapped, old trees are harvested, new trees are planted and carbon dioxide is consumed. The manufacturers that we choose to support source their latex from sustainable Rainforest Alliance Certified plantations. The video clip below explains the process of how latex balloons are manufactured: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08ZE0VNBImQ&feature=youtu.be
  • When balloons become litter, they don’t degrade sufficiently or quickly enough to prevent posing a risk to wildlife. Therefore, we strongly promote the responsible use and disposal of balloons.

SAFE BALLOON PRACTICES

As a member of PEBA, we are committed to the responsible use and disposal of balloons

MEDICAL HELIUM IS NOT USED TO INFLATE BALLOONS

The helium used to inflate balloons is not pure enough for medical or scientific use. It is a by-product gathering during the production of medical grade helium. The majority of liquid helium boils off in the transfer process. Instead of wasting this resource, it is collected and recycled. The sale of balloon gas offsets the cost of medical helium.
